PM Modi inaugurates gun-making unit in Surat
Surat, Jan 19 (IBNS): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday inaugurated the howitzer gun-making unit of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) at Hazira in Surat.
The company has won the Rs. 4,500-crore contract to supply 100 units of K9 Vajra-T 155 mm/52 calibre Tracked Self-Propelled gun systems to the Indian Army, NDTV reported.
The company has set up the Armoured Systems to manufacture the guns.
