Prabhas Jha takes over as Parliamentary Affairs Secretary

New Delhi, Jun 1 (IBNS) Prabhas Kumar Jha assumed the office of Secretary in the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs on Wednesday.

Member of Indian Administrative Service (1982 batch) from Uttar Pradesh, cadre, he served in different senior positions in the Central Government.

His last assignment was as Special Secretary and Financial Advisor in the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution.

He also served as Joint Secretary (Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances).

Jha is a Physics graduate and joined the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs as Secretary on the superannuation of Afzal Amanullah.
