President greets people of Latvia on eve of their National Day

New Delhi, Nov 17 (IBNS) President Pranab Mukherjee on Tuesday extended his greetings and felicitations to the Government and people of the Republic of Latvia on the eve of their Independence Day.

In his message to Latvia President  Raimonds VÄ“jonis, Mukherjee said “On behalf of the Government, the people of India and on my own behalf, I am pleased to extend warm greetings and felicitations to Your Excellency and to the people of the Republic of Latvia on the occasion of your Independence Day." 

"I note with satisfaction that since diplomatic relations were established in February 1992, India and Latvia have developed cooperative and mutually beneficial relations in a number of areas. I have no doubt that our bilateral cooperation will further deepen in the coming years as both our countries pursue the path of economic progress." 

"I would also like to convey my felicitations on the successful completion of Latvia's Presidency of the European Union from January to June 2015." 

"Please accept, Excellency, my best wishes for your continued good health and personal well-being and for the progress and prosperity of the friendly people of the Republic of Latvia,"the President said.
