Rahul Gandhi holds padyatra for tribals in Chhattisgarh

Raipur, June 16 (IBNS): Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday began a padyatra (foot-march) for tribals from Saradih village in Chhattisgarh's Janjgir-Champa district.
Gandhi will walk till Dabhra, covering a distance of about 10 kilometres. His march comes amid state government's attempt in building seven barrages on Mahanadi.
 
He also spoke  to farmers at Sardih vilage.
 
Gandhi will address a public meeting in Dabhra before concluding his two-day visit to Chhattisgarh.
