Russian woman attacked with acid in Varanasi

Varanasi, Nov 13 (IBNS) A Russian woman was severely injured when she was attacked with acid allegedly by her landlord's son on at Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh on Friday, reports said.

The 23-year-old woman,  who is from Moscow, was staying as a paying guest at the home of her attacker.

The police said the woman was admitted to trauma centre at the Banaras Hindu University and was in a critical but stable condition,

The  man threw acid on the woman after an argument. The two had recently travelled together to Ladakh.
