SAADMEx 2015 to be conducted from Nov 23-26 in Delhi

New Delhi, Nov 9 (IBNS) Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will inaugurate the 'South Asian Annual Disaster Management Exercise' (SAADMEx) on Nov 23, organised by the Government of India.

The exercise will be attended  by all the 'South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation' (SAARC) nations, in the National Capital.

"The main focus of this exercise will be to test the inter-governmental coordination, create synergy and synchronise efforts to institutionalise regional cooperation on disaster response among the member countries of SAARC region," The Ministry reported in its official release.

The exercise will be jointly conducted by the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) of India.

"Through the exercise, the important aspects of responding to disasters by pooling of resources/expertise will be addressed and also the imperative of presenting a well coordinated response within the SAARC region will be emphasised," the release quoted.
