Sushma Swaraj hits back at tweet on daughter

New Delhi, June 17 (IBNS): Being at the Centre of a raging controversy for providing help to former Indian Premier League (IPL) chief Lalit Modi procure travel documents to the UK, Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj on Wednesday reacted angrily to a tweet on her daughter.
A tweet from the handle @pakoed accused that, "Sushma is no stranger to taking and giving favours! Her daughter studied through NorthEast quota in medical college."

To this, Swaraj responded: "My daughter is a Barrister and Oxford graduate. What you say is absolutely false. @pakaoed."

The handle @pakaoed was deleted, though its tweet was retweeted by others.

Swaraj's daughter, Bansuri, is a lawyer who represented Lalit Modi for seven years.

Swaraj was already cornered by the oppositions over accusations that Swaraj helped Lalit Modi because of her family ties.
