New Delhi/ Gandhinagar, Mar 6 (IBNS): The state of Gujarat is on high alert on Sunday following a warning from national security adviser Ajit Doval that around ten terrorists have sneaked in the country through the land or the sea border with Pakistan.
According to reports, intelligence agencies believe this infiltration is aimed at creating disturbances on or around Shivaratri which falls on Monday.

Pakistan's NSA first shared the information to Doval that these are fidayeen from the Lashkar-E-Taiba and Jaish-eMuhammed cadres.

Following the warning from Doval, security levels have been stepped up at sensitive installations, places of worship and other public places in Gujarat.

This is the reportedly first time that Pakistan has shared such specific intelligence.

As many as four teams of the National Security Guard (NSG) commandos have been deployed as part of the contingency plan.

Security personnel have also started combing operations at many locations.
