Three NDFB(S) militants nab in Assam

Guwahati, June 22 (IBNS): Security forces on Monday apprehended three hardcore cadres of National Democratic Front Of Bodoland (Sangbijit faction) and recovered arms and ammunition from them in Assam’s Kokrajhar district, police said.

Following a tip-off, troops of CRPF and police launched an operation at Gossaigaon area in the BTAD district and nabbed the militants.

The nabbed militants were identified as Pushpa Narzary, Janak Basumutary and Ukil Brahma and recovered one 7.65mm pistol, three rounds AK-47 ammunition and other war like stores in possession from them.

BTAD IGP Dr LR Bisnoi said that, the militants were involved in extortion in the BTAD area.
