Ottawa, Apr 15 (IBNS) Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper on Wednesday said the trade potential between India and his nation is 'enormous'.

"This is a growing relationship. Trade potential between our countries is enormous," Harper said during a joint press statement.

He said Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Canada indicated the strong friendship between the two nations.

In the first standalone bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Canada in 42 years, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Ottawa on Wednesday morning.

He flew to Canada after wrapping up his two-day Germany visit where he attempted to to attract investments for 'Make-in-India' programme.
