US Prez Joe Biden to attend NATO Summit: Spain

Madrid/UNI/Sputnik: US President Joe Biden has confirmed that he will attend the NATO summit in Madrid later this month, Spanish Defense Minister Margarita Robles said on Wednesday.

"Biden has confirmed his presence," Robles told Spanish radio Cadena SER.

Sweden, Finland, Australia, New Zealand and South Korea have also confirmed their participation, she said.

On Thursday, Biden and US Vice President Kamala Harris received NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Washington.

They discussed preparations for the Madrid summit, scheduled to take place from June 28-30.
