WB student killing: Police arrest Chhatra Parishad leader

Kolkata, Aug 20 (IBNS): West Midnapore district police on Thursday arrested one Congress Chhatra Parishad (CP) leader in connection with the killing of a student inside a college campus in West Bengal, reports said.

According to reports, police detained CP leader Paltu Ojha on Wednesday. After night-long interrogation, he was arrested and will be produced in the court on Thursday.

Congress Chhatra Parishad (CP) activist Krishna Prasad Jana, a B.A. third year student of Sabang Sajanikanta Mahavidyalaya was allegedly killed during a clash between CP and TMCP inside the college campus in West Midnapore district on Aug 7.

Police had earlier arrested three suspects- Sk. Sanwar Ali, Sk. Munna and Asim Maity- in this case.
