Akon, Priyanka Chopra perform in Maldives

Male, Jan 15 (IBNS): The highly anticipated Tourist Arrival Countdown music extravaganza was held in the capital city of Maldives, Male, recently where Grammy Award winning artist Akon and Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra performed.

The audience was entertained by the internationally acclaimed musician Akon.

Also performing was Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra, who is also an international recording artist that was a special highlight of this exciting show. 

This was one of the biggest music shows held in the Maldives.

In addition to live music by the international artists and local artists, the audience were also treated to a spectacular display of fireworks during the show. 

During the fiscal year 2014, tourist arrivals to the Maldives saw an increase of 7.1% compared to 2013, reaching a total of 1,204,857 tourists.

The new target of 1.4 million tourists for the year 2015 was announced by Minister of Tourism Ahmed Adeeb Abdul Gafoor in the Tourist Arrival Countdown show.
