Kolkata, Nov 4 (IBNS): Kamaleshwar Mukherjee directorial upcoming Bengali film Amazon Obhijaan on Saturday unveiled the world's largest poster, breaking the previous record of Indian film Baahubali, released in 2015.

Amazon Obhijaan's lead actor Dev, along with Mukherjee and music composer Debojyoti Mishra, have launched the film's poster. Its size is 60,800 sq.ft. (5640 sq. meters).

Baahubali's poster size was 51,598 sq.ft. It was also approved by The Guinness World Records.

SVF, the production house of Amazon Obhijaan, is also trying to register the name of the film in Guinness World Records.

Speaking about the poster, actor Dev said: "The full credit goes to the team (of SVF). I am extremely happy to see that we are thinking about diverse marketing strategies for different films."

"I am feeling proud because everybody (production teams) is thinking about how should we promote our films," the Tollywood actor added.

Amazon Obhijaan is a sequel to a 2013 Bengali film Chander Pahar, which was based on writer Bibhutibhushan Bandopadhyay's novel with the same name.

Chander Pahar was also directed by Mukherjee.

Speaking about the film's poster, Mukherjee told media: "It is definitely thrilling. I haven't seen any poster like this before. This is incredible."

However, the director gave all due credit to the production team of SVF.

More than 100 man-hours and 80 people were engaged in creating and installing the massive poster, which consists of 32 individual prints that were fitted together on site.

Though the film was initialy thought to be shot at any cold region, later Amazon rainforest of South America was chosen as the shooting location.

Speaking about the shooting experiences in Amazon, Mukherjee said: "Amazon is the broadest river in the world. It has 250 branches and we shot there only. Two of those branches meet at point called Manaus, the last civilisation in Brazil, which was the place we stayed. From Manaus, we traveled through boat to different locations for shooting."

Unlike Buneep in Chander Pahar, no such fictious wild animal is present in Amazon Obhijaan.

Speaking at the launch event, Dev was illustrating how challenging it was to shoot in Amazon amid life threatening animals and insects.

About his own challenge as an actor in the industry, Dev, who also played the lead role of Shankar in Chander Pahar, said: "I always think that when I will talk about a film, questions asked to me must be different every time. Just like film strategies, roles should also be different. Me as an actor try not to play the same role within three years. My all films should be different."

The film is slated to release on December 22.
