Asha Bhosle turns 83

Mumbai, Sept 8 (IBNS): Bollywood's popular singer Asha Bhosle, whose charming voice has been loved by generations, turned 83 on Thursday.

Thanking her fans for their wishes, the singer said she is busy for her upcoming concerts in the UK.

"Thank you everyone for your kind greetings on my birthday. I'm busy today preparing for my upcoming concerts in the UK," she tweeted.

Asha Bhosle's sister and legendary Indian singer Lata Mageshkar blessed her on the occasion and tweeted: "Namaskar. Aaj meri choti behen Asha Bhosle ka Janamdin hai.Main usko shubh aashirwad deti hun.Ishwar usko hamesha khush rakhe (Today is my younger sister Asha Bhosles birthday. I give my blessings to her. I pray to God that he always keep her happy)."
