Bollywood congratulates Leonardo DiCaprio for winning Oscars

Mumbai, Feb 29 (IBNS) Bollywood on Monday appreciated and congratulated Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio for winning the Oscars.

Leonardo DiCapro and his 'The Revenant' film director Alejandro G. Iñárritu bagged the best actor and best director award as Brie Larson triumphed over the other contenders to take home the best actress award while Spotlight was named the best picture in the 2016 Oscars.  .

Indian actor Farhan Akhtar tweeted: "Really happy for team #Spotlight .. Loved that film. And all that can be said about @LeoDiCaprio winning is.. Finally!!!"

Actress Sonakshi Sinha sid she is glad that the Titanic star finally grabbed the Oscar award.

"I think there was more pressure on the #Oscars to give it to Leo, than on him to win it either way, he is beyond awesome and im glad!!!!!" Sinha tweeted.

"Thank u @LeoDiCaprio for bringing attn to climate change on the #Oscars stage. I think they should give u another one JUST for that. ," she said.

Huma Qureshi, another thinking actress of Bollywood, posted: "'I'm not taking tonight for granted' @LeoDiCaprio ... Andddd that's how it's done #Oscar2016 #finally #happyfangirl."

Actress Diana Penty said: "FINALLY #LeonardoDiCaprio wins what he has long deserved. Woohoo!! #Oscars #2016 #TheRevenant @LeoDiCaprio."

Wazir actress Aditi Rao Hydari tweeted: "Finally! Wohooooo!!! @LeoDiCaprio #Revenant."
