Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar apologises for holding tri-colour upside down

Mumbai, July 24 (IBNS): Superstar Akshay Kumar on Monday apologised for holding the tri-colour upside down while he attended the final match of the Women World Cup between India and England in Lord's on Sunday.

Akshay removed the image where he was seen holding the flag in wrong position.

Later, he tweeted: "Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of conduct for the tricolor.Didn't mean to offend anyone,the picture has been removed."

Akshay Kumar had earlier shared a video where he was seen rushing towards the stadium to watch the game.

He even shared an image where he was seen chatting with India players after the match was over.

"Even Broken Hearts Can Laugh!! These Women have started a revolution & I couldn't be more proud #WWC17Final," he tweeted.

India lost the final by 9 runs against England.
