Dibakar Banerjee keen to show Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! to Zoravar Chand Bakshi
Mumbai, Apr 1 (IBNS): Dibakar Banerjee is keen to show his film Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! to Lieutenant General Zorawar Chand Bakhshi
Zorawar Chand Bakhshi is a retired soldier of the Indian Army and he has the distinction of being India's most decorated General.
His first major battle was against the Japanese in Burma in the Second World War after he was commissioned into the Baloch Regiment of the British Indian Army in 1942 where he earned a Mention in Despatches for overcoming a heavily fortified Japanese position.
Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! is set in 1943, in the back drop of the Second World War.
So Dibakar Banerjee wants to show this film to Zorawar Chand Bakhshi as he was present during that period, was a part of the war and has seen India during that era.
Also, there is a commonality between the detective on whom the film is based and the Lieutenant General; they both share the same surname.
There is a lot of anticipation for Detective Byomkesh Bakshy! that promises viewers to expect the unexpected.
