hoichoi drops trailer of Priyanka Sarkar starrer Lojja 2

Kolkata/IBNS: Bengali OTT platform hoichoi has unveiled the much-anticipated trailer of Lojja 2.

Directed by Aditi Roy and based on research conducted by Samragnee Bandyopadhyay, this season introduces Anindita Bose and Dipankar Dey alongside the cast of season 1.

The new season claims to bring a gripping narrative of resilience, justice, and the fight against verbal abuse and societal oppression.

Lojja 2 is set to premiere on April 11.

After captivating audiences in Season 1, Priyanka Sarkar’s character, Jaya, undergoes a profound transformation—from a timid, introverted woman to someone with nothing left to lose, determined to take a stand for herself.

Lojja 2 delves deeper into her journey, intensifying the emotional stakes as she faces her harshest reality yet.

When her close friend Shourjya, played by Indrasish Ray tragically dies during a trip, Jaya becomes the prime suspect in a shocking allegation. With even her own family turning against her, she is left to fight for her survival alone. In this relentless battle, her only ally is veteran lawyer Amartya Sengupta, played by Dipankar Dey.

Jaya continues to face relentless verbal abuse and humiliation from her husband, Partho, played by Anujoy Chattopadhyay, who refuses to believe her and maligns her character for being found with another man in a hotel room.

Her only family support—her elder brother played by Indrajit Mazumder and sister-in-law, played by Sneha Chatterjee—also turn their backs on her.

Anindita Bose, in the role of Sneha, an advocate fighting against Jaya, brings further depth to the storyline, making Lojja 2 an emotionally charged and powerful watch.

As the turmoil intensifies, Jaya refuses to stay silent.

Lojja 2 is a gripping reminder of how verbal abuse can be just as destructive as physical violence, breaking a person’s spirit and self-worth.

Jaya’s journey is a testament to the power of resilience, proving that silence is not always a weakness. When it finally breaks, it can shake the everyone.

Speaking about her role, Priyanka Sarkar shared, "Jaya’s journey in Lojja 2 is deeply personal and universal at the same time. Verbal abuse is often dismissed or normalized, but its impact is devastating. This season is about reclaiming one's voice and standing up against injustice."

With a stellar cast and a more intense storyline, Lojja 2 promises to be a gripping watch.
