Hoichoi unveils poster of Talmar Romeo Juliet

Kolkata/IBNS: Hoichoi has unveiled the poster of Hoichoi's upcoming web series Talmar Romeo Juliet, which is an adaptation of William Shakespeare's iconic play Romeo and Juliet.

The series marks the debut of Hiya Roy and Debdutta Raha, who play the protagonists. Hiya and Debdutta play roles modelled after Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet.

The poster captures the essence of the series, merging a retro aesthetic with contemporary visual appeal.

The characters of Debdutta Raha as Rana, Hiya Roy as Jahanara, Anirban Bhattacharya as Mostaq, Anujoy Chattopadhyay as Somnath embody the intense passion and conflict central to Talmar Romeo Juliet.

The series is helmed by Anirban Bhattacharya as the creative director.

The rich hues and striking contrasts evoke a deep, emotional landscape, setting the tone for this immersive experience against the captivating backdrop of the rural town of Talma.

Directed by Arpan Garai and written by Durbar Sharma, the series delves into love, rivalry, and tragedy, portraying universal themes in a raw, local context of the fictional town of Talma.   

The series will start streaming on Hoichoi in November.
