Hungama.com announces Arijit Singh, Priyanka Chopra as most popular artists of 2014

Mumbai, Jan 6 (IBNS): Hungama.com, an on-demand digital entertainment store-front, recently announced the 'Hungama.com Chart-toppers 2014', a collective list of the best tracks in 2014 including international hits, Hindi numbers and regional toppers.

The Hindi music scene is dominated by Bollywood hits, where India’s favorite soulful singer Arijit Singh is in the number one position as the Most Popular Male Singer of 2014 with chartbusters like Manwa Laage from Happy New Year and Aaj Phir from Hate Story 2. 
 
The Most Popular Music Director (Duo) has been Vishal-Shekhar with hits like Happy New Year and Bang Bang to their credit; and Shreya Ghosal’s first position among Most Popular Female Singers remains intact with hit numbers like Hangover from Kick and Manwa Laage from Happy New Year in her kitty.
 
The Top 10 Most Popular Songs of 2014 include Galliyan, Desi Kalakaar, Manali Trance, Tu Meri, Jumme Ki Raat, India Waale, Dance Basanti, Manwa Laage, Baby Doll and Alcoholic; where the Happy New Year and Shaukeens albums have bagged two positions each. 
 
Galliyan being the Most Popular Song of 2014 from Ek Villain, while Shah Rukh Khan’s Happy New Year and Yo Yo Honey Singh’s Desi Kalakaar with multiple entries to their credit are the two Most Popular Albums of 2014.
 
The Most Popular Songs of 2014’s international list, Hungama.com Chart-toppers 2014, reveals that Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra is among the Top 10 Most Popular International Artists of 2014 with her hit title I Can't Make You Love Me. 
 
The list also features the most coveted Indian musician AR Rahman with multiple tracks to his credit, one featuring Sukhwinder Singh and international Pop sensation Iggy Azzalea. Also on the list is popular Bollywood music director duo Salim-Sulaiman with their remix of Enrique Iglesias’ I am a Freak featuring in the Top 20 Most Popular Songs of 2014.
 
With Pop being the most popular choice of music, Pop artists Enrique Iglesias dominated charts with 10 songs among the Top 100 Most Popular Songs of 2014 list, Ariana Grande not falling far behind with 6 songs on the list to her credit. 
 
Other artists with multiple entries on the list include, 5 Seconds of Summer, Bryan Adams, Imagine Dragons, Jennifer Lopez, Maroon 5 to name a few.
