Indian classical music Moguls peform at Art And Artistes' event
It was an evening filled with un-paralleled musical talent with a combination of Animation, Visual Effects and incredible Soundscapes.
Conceived and presented by the talented Durga Jasraj, the evening was one to remember. With Art And Artistes – Panchtatva, the audiences had the golden chance to experience a celestial musical night with a magnificent line up of musical superstars on one stage.
The Guest of Honour was Union Environment, Forests and Climate Change (IC) Minister Prakash Javadekar, who inaugurated the India Tour of 5 cities along with Sangeet Martand Padma Vibhushan Pandit Jasraj and dignitaries like Dr. Bharat Singh from Aditya Birla Group, Mr. B. B. Joshi from Bank of Baroda, Vinay Sah from LIC, Subramaniam from Union Bank of India along with Kiran Mehra-Kerpleman from United Nations (UNIC).
Commenting on the success of the show, Durga Jasraj and Neeraj Jaitly , Directors of Art And Artistes said, “While we were confident about the concept and content of this unique music property, we were genuinely overwhelmed by the audience response to the very first edition of this 5 city tour. Our Media Partners BIG FM, Bright Outdoor, Saavn and Event Partner Pancham Nishad, have all played a crucial role in spreading awareness about this initiative and we are grateful for their extended support”.
The event saw performances by various musical superstars from the world of Indian Music. The highlights of the event included the glorious moment when Legendary Pt. Hari Prasad Chaurasia and Maestro Ustad Rashid Khan set the momentum .
Grammy award-winning Instrumentalist Pt. Vishwa Mohan Bhatt played his Mohan Veena beautifully, leaving the audience awe-struck.
Percussionist and composer Taufiq Qureshi created magic with his breath vibrations depicting the different stages of the fury of fire. The musical evening also witnessed performances of genius percussionist V. SelvaGanesh, Tabla player Subhankar Banerjee, Mewati Gharana vocalist Ankita Joshi, Hindustani classical vocalist Pt. Rattan Mohan Sharma and brilliant percussionist Sridhar Parthasarathy. This is the first time that these artists were seen performing on stage together.
RJ Siddharth Kannan from FM Radio opened the night followed by the beautiful Durga Jasraj who introduced various aspects of nature in Hindi verses. This magical event followed a sequence starting with Antariksh - The Universe, the five elements of nature and concluded with Zindagi - Life. The air was filled with the peaceful sound of mantras and shlokas that were chanted while introducing every element.
Last but not the least all the artists performed together to signify Zindagi – Life , that comprises all the elements. ‘Panchtatva’ will also be performed in four other cities of India. Art And Artistes gave fans an opportunity to fulfill their dream of watching the superstars showcase their mind blowing talent.
‘Panchtatva’ is presented in association with Ministry of Environment, Forests and Climate Change, Government of India along with the Aditya Birla Group and endorsed by the United Nations (UNIC).
