Kolkata/IBNS: The logo of Arindam Sil's political thriller Korpoor starring Rituparna Sengupta was unveiled on Tuesday.

The film is based on the book Antardhaner Nepathye written by Dipanwita Ray.

The storyline showcases the political commentary of the year 1997 and 2019 simultaneously.

The film features Rituparna Sengupta, Shaheb Chatterjee in significant roles.

Director and actor Arindam Sil said, “This film is absolutely fictional. It'll also have some artificial intelligence (AI) generated scenes which would hopefully receive prizes. Apart from the direct novel story, this film will have two twists in it.”

The film revolves around the investigation which began after 22 years of the disappearance of a female university official, where two investigative reporters of a news portal started researching the incident and stumbled upon many startling facts.

Actress Rituparna Sengupta said, “I try to play characters which will leave an impact on the audience. I hope this character will also leave a mark."

Actor Shaheb Chatterjee describing his character said,“I have never played a politician. As an actor, every film is a challenge. Every character I play has to be done very carefully."
