Kolkata/IBNS: The makers have last week unveiled the poster and teaser of upcoming Bengali film Borfi.

The film is directed by Souvik Dey.

It stars Koushik Sen, Gulshan Pandey, Abhijit Guha, Chandrayee Ghosh , Kamelaswar Mukherjee, Anamika Saha, Amyth Sethi, Piyali Chakraborty and Aritra Dutta Banik in the lead.

Plot of the story

Several murders have taken place throughout Kolkata for which a serial killer is believed responsible. The murderer strikes in accordance with verses of country names which are being left next to the victims. Firstly six prostitutes were killed normally.

After that, the murderer started destroying families. The crime branch was baffled.  Chief inspector struggled to solve the case with his 2 assistants. Due to this unsolved threat, the media started putting pressure on the government. Due to failure, the Chief inspector loses the case and hands it over to one of the best consultant detectives.

On the other hand this is a story of an ex Naxal comrade. She became mentally unstable due to past life traumas that haunted her on a daily basis. She worked in the post-office . For some serious abnormalities no one accompanied her . Her only companion was her dead elder brother who groomed little in the ideology of Marxism .

Due to this loneliness, flashbacks of past sequences and more over failure of Naxal movement turned her into a psychopath. Who is the killer and why this killing is taking place, climax will surely give goosebumps to the audience.

Chandrayee said, "Every character in this film navigates through various graphs. That's how the story unfolds. I found my character interesting as it features two sides of it."

On choosing the current trend of making thrillers, director Souvik Dey said, "I want to make some thrillers unless I am confident of working in other genres."
