Ranbir, Anushka pledge their movie costumes for charity

Mumbai, Dec 4 (IBNS):eBay India and Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) have come together to help raise funds for redevelopment of flood ravaged Kashmir and Assam by seeking bids for a charity auction on www.ebay.in/charity.
The auction offers fans an opportunity to own Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma’s costumes from their movies. 
 
Customers can bid for Ranbir Kapoor’s ‘Kashmiri Pheran from Rockstar’ and Anushka Sharma’s ‘Leather jacket from Jab Tak Hai Jaan’ with the highest bidder getting to own these costumes as a priced possession. 
 
The charity auction began on Thursday and will be live till December 13.
 
Commenting on this auction, Ranbir Kapoor, said, “I feel honoured to be able to contribute towards supporting the redevelopment of Kashmir and Assam through the charity auction run by eBay India and EEMA. I encourage people to participate in this noble cause and help all those in need.
 
Expressing her views, Anushka Sharma said, “The floods in Kashmir and Assam were heart-wrenching events and my heart goes out to all those affected due to this calamity. I feelprivilegedto be able to contribute towardsthe redevelopment of these states and their citizens. I encourage all my fans toparticipate in this auction and help raise funds to support the cause.”
 
Latif Nathani, Managing Director, eBay India said,“We are delighted to partner with EEMA to auction the movie costumes of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka for this noble cause. eBay India is the only ecommerce platform in India that runs such auctions to support charitable endeavours. We are sure that the charity auction will gather a lot of interest from fans,not just in India but across the world.”
 
Priya Sharma Shaikh, General Manager, EEMA added, “EEMA in partnership with United Way of India, ZEE TV and Films and Television Producers Guild had undertaken the programme Hum Hain…Ummeed-e-Kashmir to raise funds for redevelopment of Kashmir and Assam.In our endeavour to extend continuous support to this cause, we have partnered with eBay India to auction exclusive costumes of Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.”
