Tollywood Actresses who Tried their Luck in Bollywood

The Tollywood film industry is as popular as bollywood in South India. Many Bollywood Actors and actresses actually started their career with the South Indian Film Industry and then went on to make it big in Bollywood. Today we will talk about some of the Biggest South Indian Actresses who tried their luck in Bollywood.

Tamannah Bhatia

Tamannah Bhatia is a popular face from the Fair and Lovely TV Ad campaign. She is a Popular South Indian Actress who is working in Tollywood movies. Some of her popular movies are Konchem Ishtam Konchem Kashtam, Kanden Kadhalai, Paiyaa, Racha, Baahubali: The Beginning and Devi. She started her acting career with the bollywood movie Chand Sa Roshan Chehra in 2005, when she was just 15. Same year she made her Tollywood debut with the film Sri directed by K. Dasarath. After which she predominantly acted in south Indian cinema. She tried her luck again in the Ajay Devgn starrer Himmatwala in 2013 which didn't do well at the box office. She was also seen in other Bollywood movies like Humshakals, Entertainment and Tutak Tutak Tutiya. Her upcoming movies for 2018 are Savyasachi, That Is Mahalakshmi, Kanne Kalaimaane, KGF and F2 – Fun and Frustration. She is quite successful in Tollywood and kollywood, but is still to make her mark in Bollywood.


Kajal Aggarwal

Kajal Aggarwal is another popular Tollywood actress who tried her luck with Bollywood. She was seen in the Hit movie singham alongside Ajay Devgn and also in Special 26 alongside Akshay Kumar. She started her career with the film Kyun! Ho Gaya Na... in a supporting role. She made her Tollywood debut as a lead actress with the film Lakshmi Kalyanam which was directed by Teja. She has majorly acted in Telugu films and some of her popular films are Magadheera, Darling, Mr. Perfect and Govindudu Andarivadele. In 2018 she was seen in hit telugu films like Awe and MLA. She will soon be seen in Ramesh Aravind's upcoming film Paris Paris, which will be released later this year. Being a Punjabi she enjoys having Spicy Indian Dishes. Kajal Agarwal is one of the top Actresses in Tollywood, but couldn't find much success in Bollywood.


Trisha Krishnan

Trisha Krishnan, known mononymously as Trisha in the South Indian Film Industry also gave Bollywood a shot. She was seen in only one bollywood flick which is the Akshay Kumar Starrer Khatta Meetha. The Movie did quite well at the box office, but was the only Bollywood movie in which Trisha Krishnan was seen. She is one of the biggest stars in south Indian Film industry who has predominantly worked in Kollywood and Tollywood movies. She made her Kollywood debut with the film Mounam Pesiyadhe in 2002. She made her Tollywood debut in 2003 with Nee Manasu Naaku Telusu which was directed by Jyothi Krishna. She was lately seen in movies like Hey Jude and Mohini. Trisha's will soon be seen in C. Prem Kumar's film 96.

All three of them are the most popular actresses in Tollywood and have tried their luck in Bollywood, but didn’t do well. Fans still hope to see them in Bollywood again.
