Mumbai/IBNS: The makers of Ranabaali have unveiled the trailer of the upcoming film, offering a glimpse into a story rooted in Indian history, folklore and the legacy of generations.

Starring Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles, the film seeks to bring stories passed down through generations to the big screen, exploring the history and heritage that have shaped Indian identity.

Set in 19th-century South India during British colonial rule, the film spans the period between 1854 and 1878.

The story follows a rebellious warrior who rises against colonial oppression while fighting to protect his people. Set against a backdrop of famine, hardship and resistance, the film explores a turbulent chapter in the region's history.

Ranabaali marks the third collaboration between Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna, following their earlier films Geetha Govindam (2018) and Dear Comrade (2019).

The film is directed by Rahul Sankrityan and produced by Mythri Movie Makers. It is presented by Gulshan Kumar, Bhushan Kumar and T-Series Films, with music composed by Ajay-Atul.

Ranabaali is scheduled to release in theatres on October 16.
