Ambati Rayudu, Stuart Binny recover Indian ship after initial collapse, post 255 for 6

Harare, July 10 (IBNS): Ambati Rayudu (124*) and Stuart Binny (77) added 160 runs in the sixth wicket partnership which helped India recover and post a competitive 255 for the loss of six wickets in the first ODI match against Zimbabwe here on Friday.

 With India struggling at 87 for five, Binny and   Rayudu played two remarkable innings to steady the ship which was hit badly by Zimbabwean bowling. attack.

Rayudu hit 12 boundaries and a six in his knock.

 Binny hammered six boundaries and two sixes in his innings as he tried to generate momentum at the end of the first half of the game.

It was only skipper Ajinkya Rahane (34) who was successful in contributing with the willow while the rest of the top-order collapsed miserably against African side's attack.

Donald Tiripano and Chamu Chibhabha took two wickets each for Zimbabwe.
