Sochi, Nov 8 (IBNS): Indian chess icon Viswanathan Anand drew the first game against current World Champion Magnus Carlsen in the World Chess championship here on Saturday.

Anand drew the match in 48 moves.

He played with white in the first match.

The Chess icon from Norway had defeated Anand to clinch the title last year.
