Colombo/IBNS: The suspended match between India and Pakistan, the arch-rivals, in the Asia Cup 2023 will resume on Monday.

The match was suspended due to rain on Sunday.

Winning the toss, Pakistan had opted to bowl first.

India went off to a flying start with both their openers, skipper Rohit Sharma and Shubman Gill, scoring fifties.

Rohit, who departed after an aggressive 56 off 49 balls (6 fours and 4 sixes), was followed by Gill who slammed 58 off 52 balls (10 fours).

Virat Kohli (8 off 16 balls) and KL Rahul (17 off 28 balls) were at the crease with India's scorecard reading 147/2 in 24.1 overs when the rain started.
