Australia take 298 runs lead at stumps
Skipper Steve Smith reamined unbeaten at 59 runs while he was given company at the other end of the crease by Mitchell Marsh (21).
Despite losing some early wickets-David Warner (10) and Shaun March (0)- Australia set the situartion in their favour when Smith, Marsh and Matt Renshaw (31) tried to bat sensibly against Indian attack.
R Ashwin shined with his bowling skill despite giving away some runs.
He picked up three wickets by giving away 68 runs in his overs.
India team was earlier bundled out for 105 runs on Friday by the Australian team on Friday, the second day of the cricket test match being played at Pune.
India trailed the visitors by 155 runs.
Australian Steve O'Keefe captured 6 for 35, with all six of his wickets coming in a spell of 25 deliveries after the lunch break.
At Tea, Australia was 46 for two wickets, with both wickets going to R Ashwin.
Earlier in the day, the Australian innings drew to a close with 260 runs on the board.
