Melbourne, Jan 18 (IBNS): Clinching the ODI series in Australia, Indian skipper Virat Kohli on Friday said the tour to the nation has been an 'amazing' experience for his side.

After the T20 series was drawn, India defeated Australia in both the Test and ODI series.

Riding on MS Dhoni's dependable shoulders once again India defeated Australia by seven wickets in the final match of the series to lift the ODI title here.

"Two set batsmen there who knew what to do and they got the job done. Kuldeep had played a few games, so you don't want to make things too predictable. So we brought on Yuzvendra Chahal, and he played beautifully. We've been here a long time, it's been an amazing tour," Kohli said after the match.

India will return from the tour undefeated.

India won the bilateral series against Australia for the first time in the history of the two countries.
