Kolkata/IBNS: Fuelling speculations, former Indian skipper and current BCCI president Sourav Ganguly on Sunday evening met West Bengal governor Jagdeep Dhankhar at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata and reportedly discussed "various issues" with him.

During the meeting that reportedly lasted for more than two hours, Ganguly had offered Jagdeep Dhankhar to visit the Eden Gardens, the governor claimed.

Dhankhar also said that he had accepted Sourav Ganguly's offer.

"Had interaction with ‘Dada’ @SGanguly99 President @BCCI at Raj Bhawan today at 4.30 PM on varied issues. Accepted his offer for a visit to Eden Gardens, oldest cricket ground in the country established in 1864," Guv tweeted.

When Sourav Ganguly was asked about the meeting, he said, "Don’t speculate, met Governor to invite him to visit the Eden Gardens, and he has accepted my invitation."

"Governor will visit the Eden Gardens very soon in the daytime," Ganguly added.
