Bishwam Ghosh on course for a double at Tata Steel Beldih Juniors 2015

Jamshedpur, Apr 3 (IBNS): Kolkata's Bishwam Ghosh took a strong liking to Tatanagar as he leads the Tata Steel Beldih Juniors two days after a first victory here at the Beldih Golf Club. He shot an eight-over par 80 to be ahead by three strokes going into the final round on the morrow.

On a tough day for scoring, city mate Tanishq Julka is placed second followed by local lad Arshad Ali in third a further four strokes behind at fifteen-over 87.

Bishwam started in a steady fashion with five consecutive pars before dropping strokes on the sixth and eighth holes. A deadly double bogey 6 on the 11th hole left him four-over for the day and he couldn’t shake it off as he made four consecutive bogeys from the 14th to the 17th holes. However that was enough for a  lead of three strokes overnight.

Category C was led by Kolkata’s Aroush Tagore and local lad Biren Kumar at a score of 93 as both had identical front and back nines. Two strokes behind is Kaushal Bagrodia followed by Arav Sanghavi and Rayyan Habib at 96. Homegrown Vidyul maittani leads Ishika Bhowmick by ten strokes in the Category C Girl’s event.

While young gun Tanisha is top of the Category D Girl’s, Garv Lakhmani who shot a fifteen-over 87 leads the Boys event. He left the rest of the field effectively fighting for second place with a lead of ten strokes over second placed Mrinank Chandar of Patna.
