Borussia Dortmund extends contract with Shinji Kagawa

Dortmund, July 15 (IBNS): Football club Borussia Dortmund on Saturday announced extending the contract of Japanese footballer Shinji Kagawa.

The Japanese player has signed a commitment until the 30 June 2020.

""We are really happy that Shinji will continue to play for us in the coming three years", stressed Zorc in Tokyo, and added: "Shinji closely identifies with our club, with the city, and with our fans. And as one of the more experienced members of the squad, he is an unbelievably important anchor in a team which is very youthful overall." Kagawa was quoted as saying by the club website.

The footballer  has scored 36 goals in 127 Bundesliga matches up until now.

The Japanese footballer has directly assisted a further 33 goals.
