Chris Gayle smashes 67 runs to help West Indies beat Australia in T20 clash, becomes first cricketer to score 14,000 runs in shortest format of cricket

Gros Islet: West Indies batting icon Chris Gayle became the first man in the world to score  14,000 runs  in T20s by smashing  38-ball 67 runs in a series match against Australia on Monday.

West Indies beat Australia by six wickets to take 3-0 lead in the T20 series.

Australia was defending 141 for six in the clash. Riding on Gayle's herculean knock, West Indies reached 142 runs by losing four wickets.

Gayle smashed four boundaries and seven sixes in his knock.

Gayle is considered as one of the best batsmen to play a T20 game.
