Clarke departs after heroic 74
Melbourne, Mar 29 (IBNS): With Australia close to winning their fifth World Cup title, New Zealand picked up the wicket of skipper Michael Clarke to reduce the hosts to 175 for three in the final of the World Cup here on Sunday.
Matt Henry picked up Clarke's wicket.
Clarke played a memorable 74 runs in his last innings as he had earlier announced hi retirement from ODI format ahead of he final.
Shane Watson and Steve Smith (47*) are currently at the crease as Australia scored 175 for three.
New Zealand were earlier bowled out for 183 runs.
