Visakhapatnam, Nov 20 (IBNS): Late wickets of skipper Alaister Cook (54) and Haseeb Hameed (25) disrupted England's strong hope of saving the second Test against India as the visitors finished the day at 87 for the loss of two wickets on Sunday.

Joe Root remained unbeaten at 5.

English openers gave a solid start by scoring 75 runs in the first wicket partnership.

Indian spinners R Ashwin and Ravindra Jadeja gave India much needed break to show the English openers the way towards the pavilion.

India were earlier bowled out in their second innings at 204 runs.

Skipper Virat Kohli remained the top scorer for the side with his brilliant 81 runs knock.

He hit eight boundaries in the innings.

England has been set 405 runs target to clinch the match.

England need to score 318 runs with eight wickets in hand.
