Cricket in Pakistan: Independence Cup 2017 trophy unveiled

Islamabad, Sept 11 (IBNS): International cricket is returning to Pakistan and on Monday the Independence Cup 2017 trophy was unveiled in the presence of the skippers of both the cricket team which will fight on the field to clinch it.

Skipper of World XI Faf du Plessis and  Sarfraz Ahmad of Pakistan shared the platform as they unveiled the trophy.

World XI team has reached Pakistan and will play three T20 Internationals in the Asian nation.

  The following is Pakistan’s and the World XI’s schedule of training sessions, matches and media conferences in Lahore:

Tuesday, 12 September – The World XI and Pakistan will go head to head in the first T20I.

Wednesday, 13 September - The World XI will take on Pakistan in the second T20I.

Friday, 15 September - The third and final T20I of the series between the World XI and Pakistan will start at 19h00.

Saturday, 16 September – The World XI will depart for Dubai.
