Mumbai: Indian wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik's tweet after getting a place in the Indian T20 World Cup squad perfectly summed up his feelings of working hard for years to get back into the side over and over again.

Dinesh, who was also part of the Asia Cup squad, was part of the inaugural T20 World Cup winning side in 2007.

MS Dhoni had led the team in the tournament where India beat Pakistan in the final to lift the title.

Dinesh tweeted: "Dreams do come true."

Recently, Dinesh shared images of his initial days of playing for the Indian team and had written: "Years have passed but playing for has still got that special feeling!"

Apart from Dinesh, R Ashwin also found a place in the squad.

India will play their first match in the showpiece event on Oct 23 against Pakistan.

Interestingly, Pakistan defeated India in the Super 4 stage match of Asia Cup in the last encounter the two archrivals had.
