England beat India, reach final

After bowling out India for  200 runs, James Taylor (82) and Jos Buttler (67) forged a 125-run stand as England reached 201 runs for the loss of seven wickets with 19 balls to spare.

Stuart Binny took three wickets, to reduce the side to 66 for 5.

After the quick fall of wickets, it was Taylor and Buttler who pulled the match back to England's favour with their partnership.

Apart from these two batsmen, the rest of the English lineup failed with their willows.

Binny looked positive with his bowling ahead of the World Cup as he picked up three wickets.

Mohit Sharma bowled a crucial spell of 10 overs where he took two wckest by giving way 36 runs.

Indian openers Shikhar Dhawan ((38) and Ajinkya Rahane (73) gave the visitors a good start at the start of the innings by adding 83 runs.

Rahane looked positive in his 101 balls knock as he smashed three boundaries and a six to give India a solid foundation at the beginning of the innings. Dhawan showed some signs of returning to form.

The rest of the batting line-up collapsed with Mohammed Shami (25) crossing the 20-run mark.

India did not win a single match in the series.

England will face Australia in the final.

Dhoni said his side will get some break ahead of the World Cup.

“Not only me (who needs this break) but everybody. (We’ll just) lock the kitbag and keep it somewhere. You don’t even want to see it. Completely switch off from cricket," Dhoni was quoted as saying by bcci.tv

“Because we have been here for more than two months, we know the conditions pretty well. What is important right now is a break. Completely switch off from the cricket. Just do a bit of thinking on what needs to be done,” he said.
