First Test: Wriddhiman Saha in India's squad against South Africa, Pant dropped

Visakhapatnam: Experienced wicketkeeper-batsman Wriddhiman Saha will return to the Indian Test squad in the first match against South Africa on Wednesday after missing the international cricket for close to two years owing to his injuries.

Saha will replace Rishabh Pant whose current form is causing a worry for the team management.

He was the regular wicketkeeper-batsman for India until he suffered an injury in Jan, 2018.

Though Pant slipped into Saha's shoes initially with two hundreds against England and Australia but of late his form caused worry for India.

Interacting with media ahead of the first Test, Indian skipper Virat Kohli said Saha is the best wicketkeeper in the world and he was unfortunate to get injured.

However, during the recently concluded Test series against Windies, Saha was kept out of the playing XI while Pant played the matches.

Rohit Sharma for the first time will open India's innings in the first Test.
