Gautam Gambhir scores century in farewell match
New Delhi, Dec 8 (IBNS): Indian cricketer Gautam Gambhir, who has already announced his retirement from all forms of the sport, ended his career on a high note.
Gambhir, while playing a farewell Ranji match, slammed a century against Andhra on Saturday.
The Delhi man scored 112 off 185 balls. He hit 10 boundaries in the course of his innings.
Riding on his century, Delhi posted a big total against Andhra, which scored 390 in the first innings of the match.

Gambhir, 37, announced his retirement on Tuesday.
The southpaw made his One Day International (ODI) debut against Bangladesh in 2003 and played his first international Test the following year against Australia.
He captained the Indian team in six ODIs during 2010-2011 with India winning all the matches. He played important roles in India's T20I World Cup win in 2007 and Cricket World Cup in 2011.
The Indian government gave Gambhir the Arjuna Award, the country's second highest sporting award, in 2008. He was the top-ranked ICC batsman in 2009.
Gambhir has played 58 Tests scoring 4,158 runs and 147 ODIs scoring 5,238 runs.
