The second day's play of the first Test between India and South Africa is delayed on Monday owing to rain.

On the first day, India won the toss and elected to bat first.

India went off to a good start to finish the day's play at 272/3, courtesy vice captain KL Rahul's marvelous century.

Rahul is still unbeaten at 122 off 248 balls along with Ajinkya Rahane, who scored 40 off 81 balls.

While Mayank Agarwal scored 60, skipper Virat Kohli was dismissed for 35.

All the three Indian wickets were clinched by South Africa's Lungi Ngidi.
