Indian Air Force to begin India-Australia World Cup final match in Ahmedabad with sky salute

As the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 ends on Sunday, a 4-part ceremony has been planned at the final at Narendra Modi Stadium here, the largest cricket stadium in the world.

The final match starts with a 10-minute air show by the Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team led by Flight Commander and Deputy Team Leader Wing Commander Sidesh Kartik, beginning at 12.30 pm.

For the first time ever, an enthralling 9 hawk acrobatic display over the Narendra Modi Stadium, in sync with music will pay tribute to the New India. The flights will take off from Ahmedabad airport and will do a vertical airshow above Narendra Modi Stadium.

The second ceremony- Parade of Champions - will be conducted at the innings break for 15 minutes, beginning 5.30 pm.

For the first time, World Cup winning captains will be honoured by the BCCI in the biggest-ever arena in cricket. A 20-second reel highlights of their winning moment along with the ever-changing ICC Men’s CWC Trophy will be played out on the big screen as every Champion walks onto the FOP.

The captains will then recount their World Cup triumph in conversation with a designated BCCI/Star anchor.

The third ceremony will heat up with Music Director Pritam, and his entourage of 500+ dancers. The finale of Dil Jashn Bole will rock the Narendra Modi Stadium after a medley of hits.

Pritam and his entourage will bring alive their performance on customised floats as they take a 360 lap around the FOP, giving the audience an immersive experience. The 500-odd dancers will create formations on the FOP to create a visual delight.

At the second drinks break, fans will witness a spectacle of a unique visual countdown where the entire roof of the stadium will be used as a canvas along with an internationally programmed light and laser show for 90 seconds, beginning at 8.30 pm.

Moreover, for the first time in any sporting event, the crowning of champions will be done from the sky with 1,200 drones creating magic in the night. It will be followed by a mesmerising fireworks display by the winners of the biggest fireworks competition in the world.
