Indian cricketer Mohammed Shami, who emerged as the highest wicket-taker in the recently concluded men's Cricket World Cup, turned into a real-life hero by saving a person in Nainital whose car met with an accident recently.

Shami reacted and saved the person after his car went downhill in front of the pacer.

Shami shared the video of the incident on Instagram.

He captioned the video as: "He’s so lucky god gave him 2nd life."

"His car fall down from the hill road near Nanital just in front of my 🚘 We took him out very safely," he said.

While India dominated the tournament, spearheaded by Shami's brilliance, Australia defeated the hosts in the mega final to clinch the title last Sunday.
