Mohali/IBNS: In a massively high-scoring encounter, Lucknow Super Giants decimated Punjab Kings by 56 runs in the 38th match of Indian Premier League 2023 here on Friday.

Batting first, LSG put 257/5 in 20 overs.

The mammoth total was scripted by Marcus Stoinis (72 off 40 balls), Kyle Mayers (54 off 24 balls), Nicholar Pooran (45 off 19 balls) and Ayush Badoni (43 off 24 balls).

Chasing 258, PBKS crossed the 200-mark but were bowled out for 201 in 19.5 overs.

Atharva Taide was the only batter to score a half-century.

Taide scored 66 off 36 balls but his innings went in vain as LSG registered a thumping victory.
