Bengaluru, Apr 21 (IBNS): Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) managed to pull off their third victory in this edition of IPL here in a match that Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni almost took away from them.

RCB won the match by one run.

Batting first, Virat Kohli-led Bangalore Royal Challengers scored 167 for the loss of seven wickets.

Wicketkeeper P.A. Patel was the highest scorer of the side with 53 of 37 balls.

CSK's Chahal, Jadeja and Bravo picked up a couple of wickets each.

CSK lost some early wickets and the match seemed to be slipping away from their hands when captain MS Dhoni took charge of things.

Back after a one-match break, Dhoni scored an unbeaten 84 off 48 balls. In the last over, he hit three consecutive sixes and almost took the match away from RCB.

However, S. Thakur was run out on the last ball.

CSK is still on top of the IPL points list with seven wins in 10 matches.
