Japanese Consul General praises Ghosh Yoga Institute Japan and Indo-Japan Association Calcutta

Kolkata/IBNS: Consul General of Japan in Kolkata Masayuki Taga complimented the fine work done by Ghosh Yoga Institute Japan (GYIJ) and Indo-Japan Association, Calcutta (IJAC) in spreading and popularising yoga  in Japan and various other countries.

Adrresssing an well attended function organised by GYIJ and IJAC here Tuesday Taga praised of late Bayamcharya Bishtu Charan Ghosh and her daughter and founder of  GHYJ Karuna Ghosh for their untiring efforts in  creating the awareness about the utility of Yoga and teaching the same to the Japanese people. At present Karuna Ghosh’s sons Bholanath Ghosh and Angshuman Ghosh and daughter Dr. Anchita Karmakar are now carrying out the same work in Japan and Australia respectively.

Taga informed that inspite of recent natural calamities, work for successful hosting of Olympic Games in Japan during 2020 is going on.

The function observed a minute silence to pay respect to those who lost their lives in various natural calamities in Jaman and India during last one year.

A demonstration of Japanese Martial Art was held during the function by members of Indo-Japan Association Calcutta in presence of another founder of GYIJ and martial art and yoga exponent Jibananda Ghosh and one of his Japanese student Yoshimoto.

The G H I J and IJAC also donated fund to Japanese Red Cross, Hindu Satkar Samity and a city based NGO dealing with deafblind and multiple disabled persons. (EOM).
