#Karma trends on Twitter as Martin Guptill suffers like MS Dhoni in World Cup final

In the semifinal, Dhoni, who was trying to make the second run in a ball, fell short of the crease as Guptill threw a ball hitting the wicket. With Dhoni's dismissal, India's all hopes to reach the final were dashed.

In a similar situation, New Zealand needed two runs in the last ball of the Super Over to win the final. Though Guptill was trying to comeback for the two, he was way outside the crease when a throw from Jason Roy and a good pick up by wicketkeeper Jos Buttler dislodged the bells of the wickets. 

In the entire tournament, Guptill's performance was nothing to be praised of.

How the match progressed?

The match entered into the Super Over after England scored 241 losing all wickets in 50 overs in reply to New Zealand's 241/8 in the same number of overs.

In the Super Over, both the teams scored 15 runs.

England were declared the champions as they had scored more number of boundaries in the match and Super Over.
